Jalapeno Hummus
 
Ingredients
  • 1 can (15 ounces) garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
  • ⅔ cup canned jalapeno pepper slices
  • 6 tablespoons tahini
  • 5 to 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • crushed red pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. In a food processor, process the chickpeas, jalapenos, tahini, garlic and lemon juice until combined. Season with cumin and chili powder, adjust to taste and continue to process until smooth. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper, if desired.
