1¼ cups dry red wine, such as Gallo Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray a bundt pan with baking spray and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, cream butter and sugar until combined and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla, and beat for 2 more minutes. Working in two batches, alternately add flour mixture and wine, folding by hand until just combined.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes and then remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Just before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
